Bollywood Comes Together For I For India Concert; Jonas Brothers, Will Smith, Bryan Adams, Sophie Turner Among Others To Join In
Not only B-Town, Hollywood celebs like Jonas Brothers, Will Smith, Bryan Adams, Jack Black, Jay Sean, Kate Bosworth, Kate Bosworth, Lilly Singh, Mick Jagger, Mindy Kaling, Russell Peters, and Sophie Turner will also be seen joining the I For India fundraiser concert for COVID-19 relief work.
In the rise of Coronavirus, Bollywood is coming together for a fun social activity to raise the funds for GiveIndia Covid-19 relief fund. Facebook has collaborated with some of the biggest names in the Indian entertainment industry to put together a home-to-home fundraiser concert, I For India. The money generated from the fundraiser concert will go to the India COVID Response Fund managed by GiveIndia, to support on-ground relief efforts. For such a huge event almost all Bollywood Biggies and a few Hollywood names are coming together and are associated with over 100 NGOs, working on-ground to support the required support, healthcare infrastructure, livelihood support, and essentials for people in need.
The four-hour-long concert will be live globally on Facebook on Sunday, May 3, 2020, at 7:30 pm IST and will feature performances and personal messages from 85+ Indian and global stars. Right from Priyanka Chopra to Shah Rukh Khan and A R Rahman to Farhan Akhtar & Band, the who’s who of the industry will come together. Not only B-town, Hollywood celebs like Bryan Adams, Jack Black, Jay Sean, Joe Jonas, Kate Bosworth, Joe Jonas, Kate Bosworth, Kevin Jonas, Lilly Singh, Mick Jagger, Mindy Kaling, Nick Jonas, Russell Peters, Sophie Turner, and Will Smith will also be seen joining the I For India fundraiser concert.
Speaking about the same, Priyanka Chopra told a section of media, “Unexpected, uncontrolled, unparalleled. The coronavirus has forged a brutal path across the world, and in the line of fire is well - you me and pretty much everyone across the world. Lockdowns, quarantines, social distancing - yeh hain humara naya normal.Khud ko surakshit rakhne ke liye hume ek dusre se dur rehna pad raha hai Phir bhi mann hi mann main hum ek saath hain, as always.”
While Anushka Sharma said, “While we may be social distancing, and that’s the requirement, I don’t think we’ve ever been more connected. Katrina Kaif added, “There are 1000s of frontliners and emergency workers who are putting their lives on the line every day in the fight against COVID-19. Every rupee we collect today will help equip these heroes better thus protect them better. So please help keep safe those who keep us safe.”
